The Many Half Lived Lives of Sam Sylvester is my new favorite YA Mystery/thriller book. Sam is an autistic, non-binary teen. They move schools after something did something horrible to them at their old school. This book also highlights mental health and PTSD. Both Sam and their father are on the asexual spectrum. Sam's father is literally the best dad <3 I love seeing supportive parents in books. They also both get migraines and as a fellow neurodivergent asexual migraine sufferer I ate this book up. I also loved all the Steven Universe references. If you like found family with lots of diverse characters you'll love this!

Spring/Summer Fantasy Recommendations

Hemlock Queen - 4/5 stars, sequel to the Foxglove King. Romantasy! I can't be the only one pining for Bastian, Gabriel and Lore to just all be together right guys? Give me book three after that cliffhanger. Really enjoyed the gods backstory in this one and how they are all tied together.   A Feather so Black - a fun adult romantasy for fans of the Cruel Prince and Emily Wilde. Fae, changelings and curses galore. It's also a swan lake retelling! This book set out to do a lot in 500 pages and pulls it off well. Excited for book 2 in the series.  Lady of Light and Shadows - 4/5 stars. Second book in the Tairen Soul series, now with new covers! This is a romantasy series for fans of acotar. I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first. Absolutely despise the main character's mother. Book Info: A Darker Mischief by Derek Milman Genre: Young Adult Mystery/Thriller Publishing Date: July 2, 2024 Review - 4/5 stars  This was a fun queer dark academia YA thriller. I would say this is definitely more upper YA, I don't think I would have understood most of this or it would've been too much at ages 14-16. There's a lot of interesting history/architect information that made it feel dark academia.
