My Review - It Looks Like Us is a YA horror book that follows five teenagers on a science research trip in Antartica. But there's a monster that comes out of a lake below them. The monster has the ability to impersonate and look like the other humans it infects. But the real bad guy is the one that sent them to Antartica with the intention of getting this monster to use as a weapon. I wish more had been done with the monster and its ability to talk. What's it's backstory? This is why I'd love a sequel! This felt a lot like Venom in a way. I love that there's also asexual and gay representation, as well as anxiety representation.
